Double Hung Windows

Double Hung Windows

Double-hung windows offer design and functionality. The easiest type of window to keep clean, while also offering maximum ventilation because of the access from the moving pane.

The only difference between single-hung and double-hung windows is the double-hung window has a movable sash (at the bottom).

Double-hung windows are generally more expensive than single-hung windows because of the additional hardware needed to allow the pivoting second pane. The most attractive feature is they don’t swing open like casement or awning windows, which is ideal for confined areas.
